The circle of scientic interests of the teachers is rather wide: Buryat ornarment (Batorova Е.А.), Buryat playwright (Imihelova S.S.), panthomyme and theatre of the East (Manhararnov E.E), archetecture of the Buryat datsan (Bardanova T.I.).
Besides, the teachers of the department are known for their creative critical work: theatrical critic S.S. Imihelov,actor of pantomyme, laureate of Russian and regional contsests E.E Manzarhanov, famous for the concert work of choir collectives candidate of art sciences music worker Polyakova O.N.
Arthor programs were worked out by the teachers of the department, special author courses are prepared, in which much attention is paid to the regional component: Art of Buryatia, Art of Eastern Siberia, Buryat ournarment and theatrical art of our region.
