The department of Management of Information Resources was renamed,in 2003, before thqt the department was called MMIW (management and marketing of information work) is a curricular scientific structural subdivision of the Academy.
The department was organized in 1995 and on the whole has a special significance for the development of managing staff in the sphere of information systems.
The department was given room 388 where at the same time there was the room of informatic with its documentation foundation. Tsirenova D.B. was appointed the head of the department. Recently the staff of the department was renewed by the young specialists, graduates of the department of management of information systems. They are Batorova Е.М., Leontieva S.L., Tselovalnikova Е.V., Kazachkov М.А., who brilliantly defended the diploma works on different aspects aspects of management.
The department was the initiator to make new informational products under the scientific advice of the head of the department Burlova E.N. The laboratory "Analytic plus" was created (chairman Putilin D.), where informationed products and services where formed and issued. Presently three groups of students work in the laboratory on the creation of Information product management. Presently three groups of students work on creation of IPM "Informarket".
The department of MIMID is proud of its graduates. As for the results of the employment and location of the graduates of four graduate years showed that information staff workers of new direction are wanted. Presently almost 90% of the graduates are employed. They work as leading specialists in marketing and management of big and middle sized enterprises, as well as state institutions.
