V Open competition of the ensembles folk instrument performers Baikal Autumn 2007 organizes Rebublic center of folk arts (Ulan-Ude), FGOU VPO East Siberian State Academy of Culture and arts and Institute of music (department of folk instruments and conducting) and Republic center of national arts (Ulan-Ude, FGOU VPO ,

The competition is to contribute the worldwide development of ensemble Russian national instrument perfpormance, finding new creative collectives, growth of their professional qualification, culture and taste in art, wide popularity of music for instruments. народных инструментов.

trained and ameuture ensembles of folk instrument performers can participate (single and mixed), the number of participants is not more than 12 people. The age of the participants is from 16 and without limit.

The competition is held in the first tour. Length of performance is up to 18 minutes. 4-5 works should be presented for competitive hearing:

• concert play of native or foreign composer

• virtual work (original or borrowed)

• processing of national melody

• 1-2 plays for participant's choice.

Ensembles of Russian national instruments are obliged to include works of deserved worker of arts of Russia, professor of ESSACA, Alexander Pribilov, for choice. It is compulory for the ensembles national instrument performers.

The program can include no more than one accompaniement.

Jury works according to the regulation made by the organization Committee. The jury includes В состав жюри входят famous national instrument performers. The decision of the jury is ultimate and is not subject for petition.

Winners of the competition (laureates and diplomats) are awarded on diplomas and given special prizes.

Competion is held November 10-11 2007 in Ulan-Ude. Trip expenses fees (riding fees, lodging)of competition participants is done by directing organizations

- ensembles up to 4 people 500 roubles

- ensembles from 5 to 8 people - 750 roubles
