The following problems are to be discussed at the Symposium::
- problems of uniqueness and competition ability of regional systems of folk art culture
- effective management and promotion of local organizations of folk art
culture (collectives and individuals) through modern technology,
orientated for users
- presentation of folk art culture heritage in the information space of the world
- development of cultural tourism and stimulation of business in
the regions: partnership of art folk collectives and artists with
the business representatives
- formation of long term interregional and international programs
and projects to support the polycultural and polyethnic dialogue.
In the framework
of the Symposium Baikal meetings -VI theres to be
held International festival Wreath of Friendship. The
festival is to be held on the purpose of expanding international
corporation in the sphere of traditional culture, popularization of
folklore of different nations of the world, audience gets acquainted
with traditional art culture of the nations of Russia, with the
neighboring countries and the countries within its wider vicinity in
order to find, reconstruct and support the forms of folk arts
disappearing.
Program of the festival includes:
~ International competition of solo national dancing of the countries of Asia-Pacific region Wreath of Friendship
~ Musical meetings-concerts, presenting the best samples of national music culture.
In the framework
of cultural program, participants and guests of the symposium have a
chance to get acquainted with the works of different confessions,
culture places of Buryatia, visiting Lake Baikal.
Folklorists, art researchers, ethnographers, music researchers,
choreographers, philosophers, culturologists, sociologists and
psychologists, leaders of folklore creative collectives and other
specialists are invited.
To participate in the symposium it is necessary to submit till the deadline 15 May 2008, to the address of org. committee:

Text of the report in printing and electronic variants: format Word,
type Time New Roman, 14 pt, inter-line interval 1,5, all the margins
2,5 cm. Volume of the report up to 10 pages. At the end of the report
it is necessary to make the resume in English up to 500 signs.
Headline: 14 pt, written letters, type Arial semi-bold, centered.
Below the headlines and surname - in the left hand corner, to be put in
italics country, city, place of work - in the right hand corner.
2. Application of the participant in the conference (form is attached).
Organization fee
350 $ USA ( according to the rate of the day of payment) for
